NSIPS is the electronic personnel system used by the US Navy. The NSIPS manages all USNR/USN sailors’ payrolls and personnel. Commanders can also look at financial data for their squad. NSIPS helps to keep accurate records about retirements and other personnel. In addition, it allows personnel to make changes without approval of their superiors.
The Navy uses NSIPS to oversee its personnel and payroll. It can also be utilized as a resource for training or record of career changes. Service members have access to the NSIPS database at any time. The NSIPS database differs from self-ESRs.
